Senior DevOps Engineer

About the role

As our Senior DevOps Engineer you will shape how we build, ship and run software. You will work across client environments on AWS, Azure and Google Cloud, our Prometheus (ERPNext) deployments, and the internal tooling our service desk and engineering teams rely on. You will lead by example, raise the standard of our DevOps practice, and mentor the engineers around you.

What you will do

• Design, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for client and internal projects
• Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure and Google Cloud
• Run containerized workloads with Docker and Kubernetes, including Prometheus ERP deployments
• Write and maintain infrastructure as code with Terraform or CloudFormation
• Build monitoring, logging and alerting that catches problems before clients do
• Apply security best practices across systems and pipelines, working with our cybersecurity team
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and lead the fix, then write up what we learned
• Plan capacity and tune performance so resources match what clients actually need
• Take part in an on-call rotation that supports critical client systems around the clock
• Keep clear documentation for every process and system you own

What you bring

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
• 5+ years in DevOps or a similar role, with a solid background in software development
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins or CircleCI
• Strong scripting in Python, Bash or PowerShell
• Production experience with Docker, Kubernetes and Terraform or CloudFormation
• Working knowledge of networking, databases and configuration management (Ansible or similar)
• Experience with monitoring stacks such as Prometheus, Grafana or ELK
• Clear written and spoken communication with colleagues and clients

Nice to have

• AWS DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator or similar certifications
• Experience with Frappe/ERPNext hosting, or other Python web application stacks
• A master's degree in a related field
